In December 2001, the NISSE concluded a management agreement with the government.
This agreement is valid from 2002 until 2004 and stipulates the goals set by the NISSE, as well as the budget available to achieve them.

Management plan
The Royal Decree of April 3rd 1999 stipulates that the public social security institutions must also draw up a management plan, together with the management agreement.
This is to include all actions carried out to achieve the goals set out in the management agreement.
The Board of Directors approved the management plan in July 2001. Meanwhile, a system was developed to monitor the progress of each action.
