VOF is the abbreviation of "Vennootschap Onder Firma" (partnership firm).
A VOF is a company that is involved in trade under a common
name. A VOF can be set up by a private agreement.
The shares in a VOF are not unilaterally transferable. However, all
partners are severally and unlimitedly liable for the debts of the
company. The bankruptcy of the VOF therefore entails the bankruptcy
of the partners.
