Application of a pension
In principle, you yourself must inform the public authorities that you want to assume your pension entitlements. In effect, nobody can be forced to go into retirement.

In certain instances, the authorities may themselves take the initiative (for instance, for the unconditional pension).

After you have applied for and been granted your pension, you are entitled to request in certain instances a review of your retirement rights.

A pension application is not to be confused with a request to calculate the pension in advance and without obligation: for an estimate there are special rules in effect.
