If you are ill, you can submit a request to obtain equality due to illness.
Then you no longer have to pay social contributions.

Conditions
Condition is that you can present the following documents:

• certificate of disability, sent by your health insurance fund
• proof of payment of your social contributions
• proof of suspension of your self-employed activity

If the NISSE decides that you receive equalization due to illness, you will remain socially insured.
You are still entitled to a pension, family allowance and health and disablement insurance.
