Continued insurance
If your self-employed activity does not produce the desired result, you can decide to suspend it voluntarily.
In expectation of another professional activity you can claim the continued insurance. That insurance guarantees your rights under the social statute for a maximum term of two years. This maximum term can be extended up to 7 years if it will make you reach the retirement age.

Conditions

  • have worked as a self-employed person for at least one year
  • have suspended your activity entirely
  • have paid your social contributions

Applications

You can submit an application for continued insurance to your social insurance fund.
Attention! The request must be submitted within 3 trimesters after suspension of your activity. Following the expiration of that term, you can still submit an application on condition that you are able to properly justify the late submission.
